A Distribution Center Manager at Steve Shannon Tire directs the entire operation and day-to-day functions of the facility. Responsibilities includes oversight of inbound receiving, stocking, picking/pulling and distribution of outbound product, as well as all other tasks necessary to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and customer service. Our Warehouse Manager is also responsible for the recruiting, training, and development of a successful warehouse team, along with the support of the location Assistant Managers and the Regional Distribution Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Ensure the company’s high level of customer service expectations and operational integrity are met and/or exceeded on a daily basis
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional delivery service to our customers by ensuring proper routing, order selecting, loading, and scheduling processes are being followed
- Ensure all inbound deliveries, are properly scheduled, received, verified, and stored
- Delegate and supervise daily warehouse tasks such as cycle counting, consolidation, replenishment, and fleet/equipment maintenance
- Ensure inventory strategies and warehouse functions are being performed within the warehouse
- Create and manage weekly schedules for all personnel; including Assistant Managers, Warehouse Team, Delivery Drivers, and administrative staff
- Ensure all administrative functions are completed in a timely and accurate fashion. This includes but is not limited to; invoice reconciliation, cash handling, bank deposits, payroll reporting, review of routing/driver performance, warehouse efficiency reporting and
- Analysis of proper staffing levels. Interview, hire, train, and develop facility staff including Assistant Managers, Warehouse Associates, Delivery Drivers, and administrative staff
- Promote safe working conditions and monitors employees to ensure safe operation of delivery fleet and equipment within the warehouse
- Effective communication within the location and within the Company, as well as successful interaction with vendors and customers

Experience/Education:

- Education : Minimum High School diploma or GED required
- Experience : Previous supervisory experience (direct supervision of employees); experience in the receiving, storage and customer distribution of product preferred

Key Competencies:

- Ability to implement and supervise assigned tasks
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to carry out assigned tasks
- Knowledge of product flow within a distribution environment
- Experience with current software, methods, tools and equipment (including technology) used in distribution operations
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

Physical Work Environment:

- While performing the duties of this job, the Warehouse Manager is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to type, use tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move inventory
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a normal working warehouse environment

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse Experience: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
