Comapny Overview:
Hamilton Pet Meadow is a pet crematory in Central New Jersey with a senior staff with over 100 years experience. You'll get to work with the newest technology in the pet funeral home industry while helping bring peace to families in need.

**Position is full-time, hourly rate plus overtime opportunity **(including some weekend days as needed)

We are seeking a dedicated Utility Worker to join our team. As a Utility Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various systems and equipment within our organization.

The training for this job may be done Sunday to Saturday and the training will last a minimum of 6+ weeks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance tasks to upkeep facilities and equipment
- Processing euthanized pets
- Follow provided company standard practices and procedures, including safety and legal regulations; utilize the electronic Pet Cremation System handheld device for barcode tracking of each pet and input data as needed.
- Inspect cremation equipment and com
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and report findings to supervisors
- Making Ink and clay prints of pet's nose/paw and obtaining fur clippings
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the equipment and surrounding area, including wiping down equipment, sweeping/mopping floors on a daily basis.
- Adhere to company uniform and professional standards at all times.
- Cross training through various departments to fill in where needed during high volume periods
- Additional duties as assigned

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for maintenance tasks
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors effectively
- Self-motivated with excellent time management, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- A high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of the deceased is required.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Experience in the death care industry a plus, but not required.

**Work Environment**:

- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must be able lift up to 80 pounds and bend, twist as needed throughout the workday.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud with exposure to hot surfaces and temperatures, chemicals and dust; proper PPE must always be worn.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
