L’Italien Home Renovation and Design has been servicing homeowners and businesses throughout Massachusetts for over 35 years, and we are now in search of a hardworking, reliable Independent Contractor/Carpenter to help us to continue to grow. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of renovations/repairs at residential locations throughout Middlesex and Essex counties.
Our work includes kitchen and bathroom renovations, window and door installations, siding replacement, tiling, hardwood flooring, and deck/porch renovations. We will expect you to be organized and have good time management skills as well as strong general repair skills. We pride ourselves on exceeding client expectations, so a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic are valued greatly in this job.
This position can be part-time or full time. If you are looking to have a flexible schedule and work as many hours as you would like, this position is for you. You will be expected to use a personal vehicle (pickup truck preferred) and maintain insurance coverage. You will also be expected to carry/utilize your own complete set of hand and power tools.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years experience in residential construction and repair, including kitchens and baths, flooring, painting, tiling, siding, and decks/porches
- Health insured
- Owns/masters complete set of hand and power tools
- Incredibly detail-oriented
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Ability to communicate well with team members and customers
- Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, service, and efficiency
- Valid state driver's license and insurance
- Reliable vehicle able to carry tools and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
**Responsibilities**
- Work independently and/or cooperatively across an array of comprehensive home repair projects (listed above)
- Stay in close communication with Head Contractor
- Assist tradespeople with carpentry/remodeling projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues appropriately
- Positive attitude and great communication skills
- Communicate with customer about work completed
- Safely use tools and equipment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
