Paid Mathematics Tutor

Teach students needing math help in groups or individually
- Handle skill-based tutoring in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and statistics
- Develop resources to tutor students and build Math Skills
- Evaluate students, measure skill progression, and determine improvement areas
- Coordinate with tutors and Learning Resource Center staff to offer engaging activities or workshops
- Ensure high attendance through campus announcements and flyers
- Support students to develop and meet academic goals
- Help students prepare for tests
- Record and report student "attendance"
- Attend scheduled staff training and meetings
- Ensure cleanliness of labs
- Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- **Current Major in** **Biology, Biotechnology, Mathematics**

**OR**
- **SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 15-30 UNITS IN MATH**:

- No Degree Required
- Any Job Target
- Subject-matter competency; MUST have good/excellent grades in Math courses (Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics)
- Minimum 3.00 GPA
- **Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year university**_

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
