**About the Position**:
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Student Support, this position will independently coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of student engagement programs offered by the Disability Support Services (DSS) department at Cal State Fullerton (CSUF). The position will function as the on-site coordinator and lead various programs and events throughout the academic year. The position will coordinate and develop supportive programs and events, which includes, but is not limited to, preparing programmatic lesson plans, develop learning outcomes, implement program assessment, analyze statistical data, and program metrics, strategies, and goals for programs and events.

The Programs and Outreach Specialist (Student Services Professional III) will educate the university about the services provided by DSS along with current issues affecting students with disabilities. Will collaborate with university stakeholders like Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, CSUF Police Department, Associated Students Incorporated (ASI), and other campus and community partners. Will serve as the main point of contact for any presentation requests. Provides outreach to faculty via classroom presentations, campus partners, and community members (e.g., parents, prospective students, etc.). The Programs and Outreach Specialist (Student Services Professional III) must remain well-informed on disability related laws, campus, and CSU systemwide policies, and best practices; interpret federal and state laws and regulations to students, faculty, and the campus-at-large. The Programs and Outreach Specialist (Student Services Professional III) may participate in on-campus, CSU systemwide, and community-based committees that address student diversity, equity, inclusion, and disability justice. Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field including or supplemented by upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution plus three years of professional student services work in the field. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.
