Controller for Residential Home Builder

Marc Rutenberg Homes, a long established Pinellas County home builder, is seeking a highly qualified Controller responsible for the accounting and financial management of our multiple building and development businesses. You will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Cost Analysis, Finance and other Office Management functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all financial activities to include cash management, financial reporting, contract and insurance compliance and tax preparation support
- Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records
- Maintain short and long term cash flow management, including lending administration, customer draws and loan documentation administration
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Construction Lien Law compliance
- Communicate with Vendors and Clients
- Manage and process the accuracy of business transactions, including Vendor compliance to invoicing and insurance requirements
- Build and maintain annual business plans for financial report of each project
- Manage all HR administration
- Manage all business insurance requirements, including Builders Risk, Flood, and General Liability.
- IT support for all business needs and staff support.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, CoConstruct and other construction software programs
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP, and Accounting software systems
- Strong leadership qualities, analytical and critical thinking and organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated success with a regional and or a national homebuilding company
- Academic requirements include a minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting and or finance degree.
- Experience requirements include a minimum 5 years in the construction and housing industry.
