**RECRUITMENT TYPE**

**POSITION BENEFITS**
**Pay increases**: The first pay increase for regular employees occurs after 6 months if the employee passes the probationary
period. Pay increases occur annually thereafter, until top step is reached.

vacation time, and paid holidays.

**BASIC FUNCTION**
Under general supervision of the Plant Supervisor, performs services necessary to maintain swimming pools in a condition
required for approved school activities and in accordance with health department standards. Works as a member of the custodial
staff to maintain assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner and performs related work as required. 

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**_Education & Experience_**
- High School Diploma, GED or certificate of completion.
- One year of pool maintenance experience is required
- Proof of certification in commercial pool maintenance may substitute for six months of the required pool experience.
- Custodial experience is preferred

**_Licenses and other requirements_**
- Valid California driver's license

The examination will consist of:
A - Written job knowledge exam (30% of Total Score)
B - Structured oral exam (70% of Total Score)
Some classifications require you to pass a physical examination. This examination is at the district’s expense and the appointment is not assured
until you have passed this examination. Applicants must attain a passing score of 70% on each part of the examination in order to be placed on
