**What You’ll Get to Do**:
CACI is seeking a Hazardous Material (Hazmat) Specialist to support the environmental infrastructure group at the US Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD).

**This position is in Bethesda, MD and is 100% on-site with option to telework.**

**More About the Role**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain hazardous materials management programs and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, storage areas, and transportation vehicles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hazardous materials inspections, inventory, consumption, and disposal.
- Coordinate with government customer to manage hazardous material inventory and procedures.

**You’ll Bring These Qualifications**:

- High school diploma required.
- Knowledge of federal regulations related to the handling and transport of hazardous materials (e.g. OSHA, DOT, EPA).
- 2 years of experience with hazardous material / environmental regulations.
- Ability to learn new processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

**These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have**:

- Experience with hazardous materials inspections.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Certifications with hazardous materials (e.g. Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hazardous Materials Management or related field.
- US Navy experience.
- ** Secret-level security clearance. **_(US Citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance from the DoD.)_**
