Infant/toddler Teacher

**Summary**

The Carrot Patch-Shoreline is a warm, community school with an emphasis on nature and the outdoors. We enjoy regular walking field trips to explore marshes, parks, and the town marina. An enchanting outdoor playscape created by landscape architects enhances children's play and exploration experience. And a separate house for infants and toddlers is so cozy it feels like home

**Our school is located at Route 1 near the Madison/Clinton town line, and is easily accessed from I-95.**

PART-TIME position is for afternoon shift. Must be available a minimum of two afternoons per week, from 12:30-5:30.

**Duties**

You will share all classroom responsibilities with a teaching team, including creating a Reggio-inspired classroom environment and child-centered curriculum. Our program focuses on open-ended activities that foster curiosity and creativity. You will:

- Assist in all aspects of classroom management and activities
- Help maintain a positive environment with focus on pro-social development
- Engage in a positive manner with children, and learn their routines.
- Interact with parents in a warm, professional manner

**Requirements**:

- Some experience with young children, preferably in a group setting
- Energy, maturity, warmth, flexibility, strong work ethic, and enjoyment of nature
- Willing to spend time outdoors in all weather
