Oxbow Middle/High School is seeking to hire an Academic Interventionist (with a concentration in Mathematics) starting with the 2024-2025 school year. This is a grant funded (Title 1) position. This position is designed to further the work of school faculty and staff in the implementation of content (mathematics) standards. The Academic Intervention Specialist will design and implement Tier II lessons and/or supports to help students of all abilities show growth toward (Mathematics) Common Core State Standards and meet grade level (literacy) proficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

**Design and facilitate learning opportunities for students**: In collaboration with classroom teacherso provide systematic intervention, instruction, and support for students working to meet mathematics proficiencies or looking to expand their academic skills.o provide support and resources to teachers to ensure effective use and integration of research-based tools and strategies and monitoring of student progress toward academic proficiencies. Provide support with school assessments Attend ongoing professional development to enhance pedagogical and content knowledge pertaining to academic intervention, data use, progress monitoring, and proficiency-based learning. Participate in the school's and/or district's/supervisory union's vertical teamwork. Collaborate with the OESU Instructional Coach with collection of assessment data.

Support teachers with administration of assessments; analyze and interpret assessment results to help inform instructional strategies and curriculum decisions. Actively participate in workshops, in-service meetings, teacher trainings, building level staff meetings, district meetings, and other school and district committees/projects, making substantial contributions. Model best practices lessons by modeling or co-teaching lessons. Assist in the creation of and provide embedded professional development with teachers.
