Surgery Aide

**Position Summary**
Under the supervision and in accordance with established procedures and schedules, the surgery aide transports inpatients and outpatients to and from surgery. Stocks supplies, delivers and picks up items from the Laboratory (e.g.; blood, blood products, specimens, etc.).
**Responsibilities**:
- Transport inpatient to Surgery, ensures that appropriate patient identification procedures ae followed.
- Assists Surgery personnel in Surgery Holding/Same Day Surgery Areas.
- Maintains an adequate supply of surgical attire for staff and physicians; advises supervisor of problems with such supplies
**Education/Experience**
- High School Graduate or equivalent
