**Warehouse Lead - Job Description**

**What We Are Looking For**

We are looking for a **Warehouse Lead** to join our warehouse team in our Austin location. This individual will oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, sorting/scanning of product, and staging product our dedicated route fleet. Will serve as a lead over one or more assigned warehouse functions; train and provide lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff. Participate in overseeing assigned aspects of warehouse operations and general warehouse duties, including but not limited to; sorting and retrieving package and bulk containers, operate a forklift and provide support to drivers and warehouse personnel. Must have a hands on approach and enjoy working with a diverse customer base in a fast-paced setting.
- Forklift Driver and Driving Certification (offered on the job)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees
- Can effectively multi-task
- Ability to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook
- Possess the leadership skills to effectively lead warehouse team
- Willingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment as required
- Willingness to work overtime hours during busy seasons
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting heavy and bulky fright up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work on warehouse floor 8 hours a day or more.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
- Be a self-starter and able to work with mínimal oversight.
- Show a true interest in working with Hot Shot Final Mile.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Those selected will be responsible for the following:

- Unload and receive inbound freight which will require manually moving large, heavy goods.
- Ensure that all orders have been received properly and that detailed descriptions are provided for any Overage/Shortage/Damage issues.
- Perform regular counts to ensure accurate and reliable inventory is up to date.
- Pick deliveries from inventory and stage them
- Following a set of operational procedures consistently and to a high standard.
- Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to and addressing their concerns.
- Ability to sustain physical work for 8 hours per day and lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

**Compensation details**
- $19.50 an hour
