As a full-time Mohs Histotechnician, you are part of our Mohs/skin cancer surgery team. Under the direction of the Mohs Surgeon, you will work alongside other friendly and caring histotechnicians and back-office staff who are passionate about our patients. Knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA is a plus.

**Hiring for Full-time**

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for horizontal frozen section histology of incoming tissue (including sectioning and staining) utilizing automated H & E staining
- Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of grossing, logging specimens, specimen prep, horizontal frozen section prep, frozen section microtome, and staining of Mohs histology slides
- Responsible for maintaining CLIA standards and records
- Log arrival dates, names, lot numbers, and expiration dates of incoming chemicals; recording and disposing of all hazardous waste per OSHA requirements
- Order and maintain stock of lab-related supplies
- Monitor and log temperatures of cryostats, refrigerators, and room temperatures
- Label, file and send slides to an outside facility for proficiency testing and recording of internal biannual quality control testing.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while maintaining communication with lab director/pathologists
- Follow safety regulations as described in the standard operating procedures
- Maintain neat and organized work area

**Education**:

- High School or equivalent
- Histotechnology degree (encouraged, but not mandatory)

**Experience**:

- Mohs Histotech: 2 years (preferred)
- Medical Assistant: 2 years (encouraged, but not mandatory)

**Job Type**:

- Full Time
- Monday - Thursday
- 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (hours may vary)

**Benefits**:

- $20.00 - $35.00 per hour - depending on experience and education
