**Spanish Teacher - Middle School**

**Company Overview**: We are seeking an experienced Spanish teacher to join our team in Lake Forest. **Responsibilities**:

- Engage students to ensure Spanish language acquisition.
- Implement Conversa's curriculum to develop proficiency and a love of the Spanish language.
- Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes active learning.
- Dedicate time and effort in mastering Comprehensible Input.
- Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom rules and expectations to maintain a respectful learning environment.
- Encourage students to use Spanish while focusing on comprehension of the language.
- Prepare, administer, and grade classwork, homework and tests to evaluate student’s progress.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate and meet with parents/guardians to discuss children’s progress and resolve any ongoing issues.
- Attend professional development training throughout the school year.
- Participate in school-wide events such as Back-To-School Night, Open Houses, and Parent-Teacher Conferences.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Foster a love for the Spanish language and culture through creative and interactive activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Experience teaching middle school students.
- Familiarity with Comprehensible Input methodology is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
