Athletic Director Job DescriptionPart-Time Athletic Director Job DescriptionDouglas High School is a school of about 300 students grades 9 through 12. There have been some very successful programs in recent memory, with several teams going deep into the MIAA State Tournament. The hours for this position vary through the school year and the pay is $14,833 for the 2024-2025 school year.Qualifications: Experience as an Athletic Director and/or Varsity Coach.Demonstrates interest and aptitude for performing the tasks listed.Positively and Effectively communicate with parents and guardians about schedules and sports sign ups.Working knowledge of Google Suite, Arbiter, and Family ID.Thorough knowledge of the MIAA Handbook.Such alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the Superintendent.Responsibilities: Must attend league, conference, district, and MIAA meetings.Work with fellow Athletic Directors to build the league and non-league schedules.Secure team travel and officials for all competitions.Submit timely reports to the MIAA and Principal.Select, recruit, and oversee game staff (game administrator, ticket takers, etc).Maintain orderly, clean, and safe facilities and equipment.Generate and file team statistics promptly.Comply with school and MIAA policies.Discuss student eligibility with school administrators.Work with the Principal to budget and appropriate spending for equipment, referees/umpires, transportation, etc.Promote and advertise sporting events.Host Meet the Coaches nights for three seasonsMeet regularly with the Athletic BoostersOther responsibilities as the Principal sees fit.
