- We are seeking an experienced **Animal Care Technician II** to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in** Bethesda, MD.**
As an **Animal Care Technician II**, you will perform daily animal health observations to maintain the quality and health of research animals in complex/high traffic rooms, cubicles, vertical vivarium rooms, and/or a satellite facility.
Additional responsibilities include:

- Perform daily water bottle and cage checks, cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required; provide food and water; and record health concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of animal breeding, housing, or support areas.
- Receive, inspect, and house incoming animals.
- Assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of various animal species.
- May become involved in breeding and weaning procedures.
- Monitor personnel and equipment entry into various rooms.
- Operate required equipment and perform general housekeeping.

**Job Qualifications**
The following are minimum requirements related to the **Animal Care Technician II** position:

- high school diploma or general education degree
- minimum one year's experience performing basic animal care
- ALAT eligibility required, ALAT certification preferred
The pay range for this position is** $19.00 - 20.00 USD per hour.** Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
