Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients - Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter - provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia’s Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across three nursing units.

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a full-time Housekeeper/Porter for the shift of 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. This position will work a rotating weekend schedule and will be required to work holidays.

**Summary of Responsibilities**
- Maintain applicable sanitation requirements to prevent the spread of infection and ensure cleaning equipment is in working order.
- Ensure facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, removing trash and bio-hazard waste. Staff members are responsible for completing daily assignments and will receive cross training in all other areas of Environmental Services to provide assistance as needed.
- **Minimum Qualifications**
- Experience in housekeeping services required.

**Additional Considerations**
- Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred.
- Experience stripping and waxing floors, extracting and bonnet cleaning of carpets.
