**Responsibilities**

As our Telemetry Nurse at SJHMC, you'll test your nursing skills and knowledge by closely monitoring your patients' vitals, such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rhythms, and respiration. You'll also put patients and their loved ones at ease by explaining test results in a way they can understand and make significant healthcare decisions.

The Visual Monitoring Unit, a 10 bed specialized unit for medical surgical telemetry patients, is a dynamic and unique environment. With special precautions in place to ensure the safety of both staff and patients, the unit also caters to patients with a secondary mental health diagnosis.The VMU, with its own care coordination staff and security, offers an interesting and ever-changing work setting where no two days are the same.

**Responsibilities**:

- Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse ox levels
- Quickly report and address any changes in condition
- Patiently and thoroughly explain tests results and procedures to patients and family members
- Educate patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, care maintenance, and prevention

**Qualifications**
**Minimum**:
AZ RN license

American Heart Association BLS certification

American Heart Association ACLS certification

**Preferred**:
BSN

Professional certification in area of specialty

One year recent acute care experience

**Pay Range**
$32.50 - $58.90 /hour
