About you and this role
- Dow has exciting opportunities for Site Logistics Process Technicians in Seadrift, Texas.

Site Logistics represents the on
- site activities that are involved with the Loading / unloading, and packaging of plastic resin final product for shipment at the Dow site. It is organized around the Material Flow Work Process. Site Logistics utilizes the EH&S and manufacturing work processes to safely and efficiently execute Site Logistics activities at all Dow sites around the globe.

Site Logistics is one of five subgroups under Supply Chain Operations. The Operations group within the Global Supply Chain provides a range of transportation, warehouse and terminal management services to meet the needs of the Dow businesses. We are involved in the moving, handling and storing of chemicals and products in a safe and secure manner that complies with regulatory requirements and at the lowest cost.

This role has some specific environmental tasks. The environmental responsibilities will include but are not limited to handling and packaging of any waste generated in the areas of responsibility, monitoring operating systems daily for any issues, and conducts any required rounds for the specific area.

Responsibilities
- Operation Responsibilities:_
- Daily operations will consist of monitoring process parameters of tank farms, loading and unloading equipment, and overall safe operations of the assigned Site Logistics area.
- The site logistics technician will be responsible for ensuring that adequate operating discipline is available for all activities performed at site logistics facilities.
- This role is also responsible for first line troubleshooting for loading and unloading facilities operations.
- Operating Technician will have to be well versed on all of the DOW Environmental, Health and Safety Standards.
- This role is responsible for coordinating preparation of equipment for maintenance work, as well as provides the safe isolation of equipment for the work to occur.
- The individual will be required to be able to issue safe work permits in the area of responsibility.
- Assist Day Operator and Technical Advisor to review, and revise Operating procedures and Training Documents as needed to maintain a current procedure and training program for Operators.
- Environmental Responsibilities:_
- Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned areas of responsibility.
- Operate, troubleshoot and field check process equipment.
- Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems.
- Perform tasks assigned to operations as per a standard task list including field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.
- Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with logistic business goals.
- Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems and maintain equipment reliability.
- Participate in Root Cause Investigations as required.
- Perform immediate response activities and manage unplanned events.
- Use process knowledge and skills to assist Technical Advisor in making improvements in solids conveying /packing operation performance and Operating Discipline.
- Use measurements and tools to operate the Logistic loading at optimum conditions.
- Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
- Manage multiple and complex logistic loading computer control systems.

Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 or more years of experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment with proven plant knowledge
- Current, valid US drivers license.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills
- Minimum of an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or technical program.
- 2 or more years of experience in a Turnaround or Maintenance Coordinator (within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment) role with planning and turnaround execution.
