**Job Summary**:
This position’s primary function is to perform a variety of clinical and clerical functions to assist the staff in providing patient care. This includes performing venipuncture, processing specimens, maintaining stock, chaperoning physicians and keeping the area clean and orderly. Weekends/holidays coverage is necessary on a rotating basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Chaperone and assist the provider in the exam room.
- Perform phlebotomy and process and prepare specimens for transport.
- Use appropriate sterile and precautionary procedures when drawing specimens.
- Utilize EMR to access necessary clinical information, process lab orders, and to document patient care activities, outcomes, and test results.
- Establish a compassionate environment and relay information to patients per physician instructions.
- Order medical supplies, track/reconcile invoices and ensure that patient care areas are stocked.
- Take heights, weights, and vital signs and document results appropriately.
- Maintain and clean all exam rooms between patients and at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all equipment/utensils/instruments are cleaned and sterilized after use on a daily basis.
- Assist physician with fertility-related procedures such as intrauterine inseminations, SHGs, pap smears and transvaginal ultrasounds.
- Assist the nurse manager with administrative duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the nurse manager.

**Job Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Phlebotomy certificate with relevant experience required.
- 0-1 years of phlebotomy experience required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in a pleasant, courteous manner with patients, visitors and co-workers.
- Ability to organize work and accommodate a changing and unpredictable environment.
- Must be able to deal with a flexible/often complex coordination of schedule to satisfy diversity among patients and co-workers.

**Hourly Rate Ranges: $17.79 - $27.40**

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
