Academy Medical’s Controller is responsible for all finance and accounting matters of the organization. Along with outsourced accounting services, the controller spearheads collection of information for and compliance with payroll, state, local and federal tax matters. They are responsible for ensuring the payment contract terms are adhered with and align in the contracts with practice to ensure both timely collections and timely payments to suppliers. The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day cash flow of the organization, including receivables, payables, projections, budgets, and financial statement preparation. They will coordinate and facilitate the preparation of tax information when required along with quarterly payroll and sales, and local tax information. They will work with the board selected outsourced accounting firm and facilitate the preparation of all tax documents. They provide oversight and management of the Company’s accounts receivable and payable, including interfacing with the Company’s suite of technology platforms. They will spearhead the preparation of the annual budget at the direction of the Board of Directors and will provide ongoing quarterly reports noting variances. The controller will attend the annual meeting of the Shareholders and will be available at all meetings of the Board of Directors to answer questions. The Controller reports to the Chief of Staff.

responsibilities

Auditing and Tax Matters
- Set up outside audit process
- Annual 1099's tax forms
- PCI Compliance certification (merchant account requirement)
- Quarterly Florida Sales Tax return
- Annual renewal of Corporation/Sales tax certificate
- Ensure business license for offices

Strategic Planning and Budgeting
- Create annual budget
- Create and lead Budgeting Committee
- Ensure proper approval of company budget by the Shareholders or Board of Directors
- Set Quarterly meetings with Budget Committee
- Discuss the variances from actual vs. budgeted

Performance Management
- Measure performance and success by revenue growth and profit
- Use metrics of measurement (revenue, expense) with timeframes 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 365 days
- Spearhead company wide goal of month end close out by 15th of each month
- Review AP, Cashflow, AR daily/weekly
- Parse expenses by fixed and variable
- Parse revenue by sales

Pricing strategies
- Set Pricing for solicitations
- Set Pricing for vendor products
- Create pricing strategies
- Be the final authority and approve pricing

Financial Reporting
- Weekly A/R Aging Report
- Cash Flow reporting
- AP - Vendor Statement Received/Reconciled to QB
- Analyze payables statement, process activity in QB
- Create custom reports in QB for capturing red flags
- Review - PL, AR, AP, CASH FLOW
- Monthly Journal Entries (deprec/amortiz/accruals/Recs)
- Review monthly financials
- Prepare monthly balance sheet, income statement, cash flows
- Prepare monthly analytics, variance analysis
- Review monthly bank reconciliation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
