*** As the **Assistant Transportation Manager** for dnata's Catering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of food and supplies to our client airlines. You will work closely with the Transportation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You Will:

- Assist the Transportation Manager in planning, organizing, and managing the transportation activities for the in-flight catering department.
- Coordinate with internal teams to determine transportation requirements and ensure timely delivery of food, beverages, and supplies to client airlines.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation operations, including health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs.
- Manage a team of drivers and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and safe transportation operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers and provide feedback for improvement.
- Resolve transportation-related issues and address customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to transportation operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in transportation management and incorporate them into the company's operations.

**NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Other duties as assigned by management.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package.

Compensation $75,000 - $85,000

You Have:
**EDUCATION**:Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school with 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the airline or catering industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required.

**Intellectual/Social demands**:

- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

**Physical demands**:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds.
