Job Title: RN Neurotrauma Surgical ICU

Job Summary:
The RN in the Neurotrauma Surgical ICU will be responsible for providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients who have undergone neurosurgery for traumatic injuries. This role requires critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assessing and monitoring patients post-neurosurgery to ensure optimal recovery
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety

Qualifications and Skills:

- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a neurotrauma surgical ICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of neurosurgical procedures and post-operative care
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical judgments
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
