Monday-Friday (2:00-7:00PM), Additional hours provided based on need.

**About Life Pieces To Masterpieces**

Life Pieces To Masterpieces (LPTM) is a non-profit out of school time organization located in Washington, D.C. LPTM works to provide opportunities for Black boys and young men to lead others in discovering our shared humanity. Life Pieces To Masterpieces uses artistic expression and our Human Development System to **develop **character, **unlock **potential, and **prepare **African American boys and young men to transform their lives and communities. Since 1996, we have served more than 1,000 boys and young men, ages 3 to adulthood, and have created more than 1,000 masterpieces.

**Position Summary**

Life Pieces to Masterpieces is currently seeking a responsible and dependable transportation associate who can operate our vehicles and facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of our boys (Apprentices). The Transportation/Logistics Associate is a part-time position, requiring flexible hours, and operating Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends. Vehicles will be provided by Life Pieces and will be housed on-site at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School. The associate will also assist with the set-up, clean-up and over logistics of the program. If an associate has experience working with children directly, they will serve as additional or substitute support for LPTM classrooms.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Student Transportation_
- Transport only authorized students in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate a program van and transport students between pickup points, school and homes or to various events and activities.
- Follow safe driving routes and maintain vigilance in potentially distracting situations.
- Take responsibility for the safety and timely pick-up and drop-off of the boys.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Assists with the set-up and clean-up of program spaces
- Move of school furniture for special events
- Set-up and breakdown of off site location
- Classroom support
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid Driver License
- Must have a mobile phone.
- Good character and a positive work history.
- Good driving record.
- Consent to a background check.
- No pending driving convictions related to alcohol or drug use.
- Some classroom management experience preferred

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**
- Must be able to operate a large vehicle.
- Potentially noisy environment with possible distractions.
- Must be able to interact with young boys and their families
- Adhere to the Life Pieces To Masterpieces standards in language and interactions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
