**IR Tech Special Procedures Per Diem Days Position Summary**

Works with the Radiologists and other personnel to provide diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Special Procedures and other areas within Diagnostic Imaging.

**SPECIAL SKILLS**:Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.

**SUPERVISES**:Functional supervision may be exercised over cross-training Radiologic Technologists and/or students.

**THE IR TECH SPECIAL PROCEDURES PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.**

**MINIMUM EDUCATION**:Completion of JRCERT approval formal program in Radiologic Technology.

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:One year general radiology technologist in IR with Neuro.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:Three years special procedures.

**REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE**: Current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT) and CPR required.

**PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION**:CVRT, PICC Lines Certification.
