**Position Summary**:
**About the role**:
The Supply Planner is responsible for anticipating and maintaining inventory levels to optimize and achieve organizational goals. This position is a key contributor to the success of the Supply Chain, driving the "Right Product, Right Place, Right Time" philosophy. This will be accomplished by actively managing schedules efficiently, providing input in replenishment methods and collaborating with vendors to ensure on

time deliveries to both DCs and Branches. A key responsibility will be to ensure the availability of supplies through day-to-day communications with key suppliers. This role will work individually and within groups to develop procedures and processes to support supply planning function.

**What you will be doing**:

- Responsible for independently and expertly developing and executing purchase orders and transfers using the material requirements (MRP) system to meet with supply requirements.
- Ensures comprehensive understanding of company and department objectives and aligns individual practices with these objectives.
- Sets priorities with vendors on open and future purchase orders to ensure that company and departmental objectives are met, as well as ensuring D365 due dates are accurate.
- Collaborates with vendors and branches to prioritize based on demand and ensure on time deliveries.
- Expertly manages situations with vendors to address unmet expectations or timelines.
- Tracks vendor confirmations to ensure purchase order acknowledgement.
- Partners with cross functional team on new product introduction to set effective dates and ensure inventory availability.
- Provides thorough, accurate and timely supply planning master data in D365; order points, vendor lead time, UoM among other planning parameters.
- Partners with Accounts Payable for timely resolution of invoice issues related to inventory purchase orders.
- Collaborates with and advises functional manager in development of safety stock and replenishment method strategy to achieve organizational goals.
- Maintains weekly collaboration schedule assigned DCs or Branches.
- Collaborates with Demand Planning to ensure forecasts and targeted inventory levels are aligned with customer expectations.
- Manages performance to maintain adherence to key metrics: In-stocks, OTD, Days of Inventory.
- Other duties, as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**
- Bachelor's degree, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related supply chain experience.
- 3+ years of work experience in demand or supply planning, preferably in an Item intensive multi-channel environment.
- Experience with ERP system, (Microsoft D365 desirable).
- APICS CPIM or CSCP is preferred.
- Inventory management and/or Materials Planning knowledge is required.
- Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) experience is required.
