**Job** **Title**: ALO Director/MIA Airport

**FLSA** **Status**: Full-time, Exempt

**Salary**: $135,000 - $150,000

**Location**: Miami International Airport (MIA)/Remote

**Position Summary**

Under the direction of the Vice President, Practice Area Leader, the Airline Liaison Officer/Director (ALO) has the primary responsibility for managing relationships between airport and airline representatives regarding matters that affect airline operations at Miami International Airport (MIA). The key areas of responsibility include managing communication regarding aviation project management, terminal design and construction, airline operations, and airport design, planning, and operations activities. In addition, this position monitors the implementation of and adherence to Airline Use and Lease Agreements.

**Essential Job Functions**

**Relationship Management**
- Manage relationships between airport and airline representatives regarding matters affecting airline operations at the airport.
- Maintain effective communication with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Represent clients in progress meetings, coordinate design activities, and address operational issues and develop solutions.
- Implement solutions to operational impacts and coordinate resolution with clients, tenants, designers, and construction teams.
- Communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing.

**Project Management**
- Review conceptual and detailed designs for capital development projects in areas including terminals, concourses, and the airfield, as well as for specialty systems such as baggage handling, airline and common use terminal equipment, major drain and storm water management, electrical communication distribution systems, utilities, cargo buildings, passenger terminal facilities, NAVAIDS, and other airport and airline facilities.
- Develop project phasing plans to address operational issues.
- Review and develop project schedules and evaluate or develop alternative or recovery options.
- Develop and review project cost estimates and program budgets.
- Monitor the status of construction and coordinate with representatives of the construction team regarding project status and construction issues.
- Monitor project costs and schedules and report exceptions and issues.
- Administration
- Monitor the implementation of and adherence to Airline Use and Lease Agreements.
- Prepare status reports, presentations and materials explaining operational impacts or general project information to clients and other stakeholders.
- Perform specialized tasks as required with mínimal supervision and within acceptable timeframes.
- Perform general recordkeeping, filing, documentation, and graphic preparation duties.
- Provide support to the day-to-day operations of the Airport Liaison Office and support airline clients.
- Perform other tasks outside of areas of expertise while being provided with direction.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as assigned.

**Education & Experience**

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, aviation management, real estate, law, or finance. A graduate degree is a plus.

**Other Requirements**

Must be able to speak Spanish fluently, possess a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain airport security badging credentials.

**First-Year Goals**

1. Assume day-to-day responsibilities for the MIA ALO position.

2. Establish a solid and positive working relationship with airline corporate real estate representatives responsible for MIA as well as key airport staff.

3. Develop a solid understanding of the ongoing and future capital development projects p
