The Turnaround Planner is responsible for the detailed planning, scheduling, and coordination of all activities associated with refinery turnarounds. This role involves ensuring that all turnaround activities are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget, while minimizing downtime and maximizing production reliability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Turnaround Planning**:

- Develop comprehensive turnaround plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and budget.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to define the scope of work and identify necessary resources.
- Establish detailed work packages for all turnaround activities, including task lists, timelines, and required materials and equipment.
- **Scheduling**:

- Create and maintain detailed turnaround schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Coordinate with various departments to align turnaround schedules with production and maintenance plans.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in scope, resource availability, or unexpected issues.
- **Resource Coordination**:

- Identify and procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment for turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely delivery of required resources.
- Allocate labor and other resources effectively to ensure the smooth execution of turnaround plans.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all turnaround activities, including work orders, schedules, and progress reports.
- Prepare and present reports on turnaround performance, including key metrics such as schedule adherence, cost control, and safety performance.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and safety standards.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all turnaround activities are conducted in compliance with refinery safety standards and procedures.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the turnaround team.
- **Execution and Coordination**:

- Oversee the execution of turnaround activities to ensure adherence to plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct regular meetings to review progress, address challenges, and make necessary adjustments to plans and schedules.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Analyze turnaround data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices for turnaround planning and execution to enhance efficiency and reliability.
