**Job Title**: Maintenance Technician
**Reports To**: Chief Engineer
**About Us**:
RGB Hospitality is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at the newly opened Fairfield By Marriott Downtown Austin. With 130 guest rooms spread across 17 floors, a rooftop multipurpose room with a terrace, a vibrant downstairs bar, a luxurious presidential suite, and 9 unique room types, our hotel offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as other hotel equipment, to ensure optimal functionality and guest satisfaction.
- **Preventative Maintenance**: Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance in guest rooms and common areas to identify and address potential issues before they escalate, contributing to the overall safety and comfort of guests.
- **Work Order Management**: Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks and scheduling work efficiently to minimize disruptions to guest services.
- **Carpentry and Painting**: Utilize carpentry and painting skills, along with expertise in drywall and carpet repair, to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the hotel and address any cosmetic issues as needed.
- **Property Inspection**: Inspect the property regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs, ensuring that all areas meet the standards of cleanliness and functionality expected by guests and management.
- **Exterior Maintenance**: Maintain the building exterior, including lawn care, painting, and other tasks.
- **Guest Satisfaction**: Maintain guest satisfaction scores at brand standard.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Carpentry, painting, and drywall repair skills are a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
**Physical Demands**:
- Regularly required to walk, stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate verbally.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
