We are looking for a talented Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join our Global Safety and Security Team. **Environmental Support**
- File/maintain No Exposure permits or Stormwater Permits/SWPP plans for applicable sites.
- Review any new processes that may have environmental impacts.
- File annual TIER II reports.
- Work with vendors and consultants on hazardous waste storage and disposal.
- Assist in developing and delivering environmental training.

**Safety & Health Support**
- Assist with our EHS platform called Gensuite, and ensure sites and employees are set up with proper permissions, and troubleshoot issues.
- Review and maintain EHS programs. Make changes as needed, while seeking input from the site and corporate safety and operations team.
- Participate in on site Readiness Assessments to evaluate sites on their EHS compliance.
- Support site safety and security employees on various proactive EHS projects.
- Become certified to teach First Aid/CPR/AED training.
- Develop and roll out universal EHS campaigns to all Wayfair sites.
- Work with vendors and suppliers on new and innovative safety technologies, products, ppe.

**Corporate Safety and Security**
- Assist employees at corporate with day to day safety concerns.
- Review workers compensation and injury data to determine incident mitigation strategy.
- Perform Safety and Security duties as assigned and assist in the day-to-day operations at headquarters.
- Maintain detailed records of communications and events, interaction and incident tracking, case management, safety compliance, and supporting calendars.

**What you’ll do**:

- Monitor and analyze safety incidents and support sites.
- Assist with training and programs.
- Research potential products and technologies that can help the company reduce risk.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about safety incidents or best practices.
- Participate in risk assessments out in the field.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest safety trends.
- Exercise independent judgment in interpreting information and making decisions within the scope of assigned tasks.
- Perform other related duties as required to support Global Safety and Security Central Operations.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in an EHS role.
- Strong understanding of safety programs and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility with work schedule.
- College degree preferred.
