**Provides parents with accurate IEP translations from English to Spanish within 30 days of their request.**

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

***

**Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?**

**1. Using the AACPS web based IEP system, uses existing web based software to initially translate IEP documents.**

***

**2. Reviews the IEP documents to ensure proper translation has been made.**

***

**3. Completes the translations within 30 days.**

***

**4. Keeps a record of the numbers of the IEPs that are translated, the schools, and the student's name.**

***

**5. Will be based in the Tienet Office at Lakeshore Elementary School, and will submit timesheets to the Program Manager of Compliance and Legal Issues.**

- **High school diploma or certificate equivalency. Post-secondary education preferred.**

- **Experience in interpretation or translation.**

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

- **Fully proficient in speaking, writing, and reading English and Spanish.**

- **Understanding of the special education and IEP process preferred.**
