Chef de Cuisine - Winter Center Restaurant
Chevy Chase Club, a prestigious private club, is currently seeking an experienced and talented** Chef de Cuisine **to lead the culinary operations at our busy Winter Center Restaurant. Nestled a half mile from Washington, DC, our Winter Center Kitchen is a high-volume, scratch kitchen proudly serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Reporting to the Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef, as the **Winter Center Chef de Cuisine**, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Winter Center Restaurant.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Developing and writing creative menus
- Managing and leading a team of 2 Sous Chefs, 18 cooks, and 6 stewards
- Maintaining a solid understanding of food and labor costs
- Conducting effective training programs
- Ensuring the kitchen is well-organized and follows high-quality standards
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a culinary role
- Strong menu development skills
- Solid understanding of food and labor cost management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability as a skilled trainer
