Assistant Preschool Teacher

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Including, but not limited to, the following:

- Ensure the safety and supervision of a group of children 2 - 5 years of age at all times.
- Provide positive behavior guidance that supports the developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of all students.
- Give lunches and breaks
- Assist in the planning and preparation of the creative learning environment, establishment of interest centers, and preparation of needed material and supplies
- Effectively communicate, in a timely manner, with parents/guardians to create and foster a positive relationship
- Record and monitor the daily activities of children in your care
- Document children progress and goals
- Updates our electronic App daily
- Works with other teachers on student curriculum, student portfolios and other student requirements
- Changes diapers and or potty breaks
- Communicates with parents
- Contribute and schedule Parent/Teacher conferences when needed
- Plan extra curricular activities
- Clean classroom
- Must have a warm and friendly personality and the sensitivity to meet the needs of a diverse population.
- Respect children and their personal rights
- Take additional classes and trainingsno
- Always maintain current pediatric first aide and CPR card
- Attend meetings and trainings
- Must be reliable/dependable/flexible
- Must be a team player
- Clean bathrooms and take trash out
- Clean walls, dishes, trash cans and any other cleaning needed

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
