**General Duties and Responsibilities**:Responsibilities include developing and execute a comprehensive range of engaging and educational programs and events tailored specifically to the interests and needs of teens, including but not limited to book clubs, STEM activities, art workshops, gaming tournaments, and life skills workshops under the supervision of the Assistant Director, as well as regular shifts at the Children’s Services Desk. The ideal person in this position will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills and have experience working with diverse populations in an urban community. Ability to work with library staff and a diverse general public in a constructive and welcoming manner. Performs duties with mínimal supervision following established policies and procedures. Curate and maintain a vibrant and relevant collection of materials, including books, graphic novels, digital resources, and multimedia materials, reflecting the diverse interests, backgrounds, and reading levels of teens. Staff in this position assume responsibilities of person in charge of building, when necessary. Perform these and all other duties as assigned at the discretion of supervisors.

**Minimum Entrance Requirements**: ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Science plus experience working with teens in a library or educational setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with mínimal supervision. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

**Preferred Qualifications**: Prior experience with III Millennium; or Sierra ILS; experience using RFID, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with content management software like WordPress; proficiency in social media platforms and Canva.

**Special Requirements**: Work schedule includes one night a week, one Saturday in three and occasional Sundays; Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by program and service schedules. For example: a teen after hours event, tabling at community events, class visits, etc. Also, occasional confidentiality is essential; ability to travel occasionally to other sites in Acton, the Network’s Central Site in Natick, and other locations in eastern Massachusetts.

**Pay Rate**: I-8**, starting at $28.88 - $31.55/hour; $60,073.02 - $65,643.43/annually
