**ABOUT US**

Kitchen & Coffee is a 100% gluten-free, plant based cafe located in the heart of Beacon, NY. Since opening in 2020, we’ve excelled at providing high quality, beautifully crafted dishes that are both seasonal and focus on local sourcing.

The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Load, run, and unload dish machine
- Wash items by hand
- Store dishes in proper storage areas
- Bussing and wiping down tables and chairs
- Keep quality of service consistent and to a high standard
- Customer relay skills including communicating needs and feedback to FOH or BOH
- Frequently clean the café during service, including but not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, wiping tables down, cleaning glass surfaces, removing garbages
- Adherence, knowledge, and understanding of health code in relation to food storing and cooling, washing hands, handling dogs in the café, labeling and dating, expiration dates, etc

**REPORTS TO**: Head Chefs, Assistant Manager, General Manager

**KEY SKILLS NEEDED**
- Excellent communication skills
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to health and safety regulations

**EXPERIENCE NEEDED**
- 2+ Years experience working in restaurants, cafes, or the like
- Must be 18 years of age or older

**SCHEDULING**

**WORK MAY REQUIRE**
- Lifting objects 50+ lbs
- Bending, reaching, grasping
- Exposure to high noise, heat, and humidity levels
- Standing for long periods on hard surfaces

**BENEFITS**

**PAY RANGE**:$18/hour

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
