**Responsibilities**
The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing all cardiac diagnostic procedures, primarily: EKG and EKG MUSE Medical entry and records. Cardiology technicians may also be responsible for EEG, treadmill exercise tests, Holter monitoring and scanning, pacemaker analysis and telephonic arrhythmia monitoring.
**Qualifications**
**Required**:
- An EKG course completion within 30 days of hire is required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider
- Knowledge of medical terminology
**Preferred**:
- Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology or certification from the National Board for Cardiovascular Technology
- Completion of basic arrhythmia class preferred. EEG experience preferred
- One year experience performing EKG's and treadmill exercise testing in an acute care hospital preferred
**Pay Range**
$32.74- $39.89 /hour
