**Summary**

As a member of the patient care team, performs activities and functions, under the direction of the Nurse, which includes direct patient care and support of unit functions in a manner that is consistent with safe and effective delivery of patient care.

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION**:

- High school diploma required.
- Nursing Assistant I competency.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- One year clinical experience required.
- EMT or critical care experience desirable.

**PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION**:

- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

**INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS**: Communicates and collaborates with all members of the hospital, community, families of patients, volunteers, visitors, and students.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.
