Msp Desktop Technician

**Position Overview**:
As a Desktop Technician, you will be responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support for our clients. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems. This position requires strong technical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Provide onsite and remote technical support for clients, including traveling to local client sites as needed.
- Respond to service requests and queries using a helpdesk ticketing system, maintaining accurate records of job time, travel, and notes.
- Troubleshoot, install, and configure desktop, laptop, and server hardware and peripherals.
- Install software, upgrades, and patches, resolving software-related issues promptly.
- Assist in managing Windows Active Directory network accounts and providing user education and training.
- Create and maintain IT documentation, including hardware and software inventory tracking.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 2-3 years of technical support experience for PC and software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Excellent prioritization and task sequencing abilities.
- Knowledge of networking, desktop computers, printers, and security.
- Proficiency in Windows Desktop OS through Windows 10, Windows Active Directory (A/D), Group Policies, TCP/IP, and basic understanding of routing, VPN, Firewalls, and malware remediation.
- Familiarity with computer repair, office machines, and printers.

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
