We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.

Start/End Time Flexibility required.
Weekend work required

**Job Summary**:
The QA Technician reports directly to the QA Supervisor and is responsible for all facets of Quality Inspection and Monitoring Areas as well as GMP, food safety and quality enforcement. Responsible for verification of compliance to food safety policies and procedures. Ensures the food safety and quality of all processes from raw materials to finished products through inspection, diagnosis and record keeping. Provide all necessary support for all food safety initiatives to ensure the production of safe and high-quality products. Perform testing and maintain quality documentation according to food safety and quality programs.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Perform Daily testing (PH, Brix, Temperature, Weight) and sensory evaluation on in process and Finished Products.
- Perform Allergens Testing for surfaces.
- Ensure that food safety, Quality and sanitation are met by monitoring activities, ensuring records are completed.
- Perform Verification and maintenance of equipment (Scales, Thermometers, Pasteurizer).
- Perform Pre-operational checks.
- Monitor finished Products retain samples throughout shelf life and communicate significant findings.
- Assist with hold/release system for finished products, ingredient, packaging materials based on Quality and food safety requirement.
- Participate in root-cause investigations for holds and consumer complaint as needed, communicate finding and follow up corrective actions.
- Collect environmental, Finished Product Samples for external testing.
- Responsible of proper documentation of all activities performed.
- Perform periodic facility inspections such as glass and brittle plastic and GMP inspections.
- Participate in continuous improvement of facility’s food safety systems, Quality, and sanitation.
- Responsible for the cleanliness in the laboratory.
- Comfortable working proactively and independently.
- The job holder might be assigned to other tasks and duties if necessary.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite required.
- B.S in biological Science, Food Science, or related field with 1 Experience in manufacturing (food preferred) Or High school Diploma / equivalent with 2-3 years’ Experience in manufacturing (food preferred).
- Knowledge of FDA food regulations, GMPs, Allergens, HACCP (preferred).
- Familiarity with SQF or other GFSI schemes desired.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, Written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented.

**Physical Demands and Duration**:*
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing majority of shift
- Noise typical of a production environment, Entire shift
- Working in hot/cold temperatures, Entire shift

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (required)
