DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

- Register patients in Epic
- Charge coding
- Diagnosis coding
- PCR review
- Check insurance eligibility
- Call patients and insurance carriers to verify information
- Level of Service Review
- Monitor work queues for exceptions management
- Initiate daily updates to supervisor
- Post manual credit adjustments
- Forward balances to next responsible payer
- Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding balances
- Write claim notes to document transactions and billing activity
- Troubleshoot for claim errors preventing payment
- Review claim denials for resolution
- Ad hoc claims projects as determined by supervisor
- Flag claims for escalation to bulk-appeal
- Review contractual underpayments/overpayments for resolution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (On the job training for the right EMT/Medic)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Organized
- Strong computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong communications skills

- Patient and company privileged information will be kept private

Interview Process:
Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
