Lorton, United States Pack Animal Care Full time

We’re looking for 1 full time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team as soon as possible

Are you looking for warm, team-oriented, and supportive work place with owners that you see and work with every day?

Pack Animal Care is founded under a simple principle. Animal packs are family units that roam together, work together, and defend each other. How you look or where you come from isn't important, instead if you are willing to contribute to the team's goals and success, treat others with care & respect, then there is a place in our pack for you. Any client willing to follow the same principles, will also be welcomed and treated like family by our staff.

We are a unique, family-owned, start-up, three doctor veterinary clinic that is looking to add to our opening staff. Our clinic will be brand new, state-of-the-art, and considerately designed to make your day-to-day life easier and less stressful. Both owners are highly experienced, local veterinarians, and have worked in all positions of the veterinary field. They are striving to create a clinic with a positive, efficient, supportive, and respectful family environment. Benefits & salary are competitive and will increase as the clinic grows. Take the chance to start with a brand-new clinic, with owners that will listen to your suggestions, ensure that you’re respected, and give you the opportunity to contribute to a great concept and watch it grow. We will take the best care of our staff, so that you can take the best care of our clients.

Our veterinary receptionists are critical to the culture of our clinic. We are looking for individuals that are highly organized, great multitaskers, and despite what may be going on around them, always show the ability to stay positive and a desire to help. Experience is required, as we will rely on your experience to help shape our front desk processes and culture from day one.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Manage a busy schedule of daily appointments - allocating appropriate time for different procedures, explaining instructions for special appointments, and showing ingenuity and flexibility in order to help and solve moments of scheduling conflicts.
- Answer the phone - schedule appointments, use veterinary knowledge to appropriately triage patients and client concerns. Show respectful and effective communication with clients and all members of staff. Filter client questions or requests appropriately to the correct staff level.
- Composing on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel (previous experience desired)
- Assisting appointments with appropriate paperwork and performing check outs.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of lobby amenities including a small retail space, coffee station, and front desk. Perform cleaning and maintenance duties including but not limited to sweeping, moping, and generally keeping a clean work environment during down time.
- Annotate and manage medical records to assist staff and clients (EzyVet Software - previous experience a huge bonus)
- Mentor and teaching of newly added staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service. We aim for clients to have a positive and warm experience with us, and will heavily rely on you to create that experience. In return, we have no tolerance for any client being rude or disrespectful toward staff, and will address offenders appropriately.

We are seeking AAHA accreditation, which will require high standards of care, document keeping, and cleanliness; therefore we are looking for individuals that always keep busy and take pride in their hospital. We will practice a Fear-Free approach to our patient care, which requires extra patience and empathy, but ensures that pets see you as an ally rather than an enemy.

Compensation will be based on experience

Hours will include weekdays, Saturday mornings, and non-major holidays.

We offer highly competitive pay and are growing our benefit portfolio as our clinic grows. This currently includes:

- Highly competitive hourly wages that start based on experience and responsibilities, but will grow as we witness your commitment and contribution to our work and culture.
- Health, Dental, & Vision insurance (Dental & Vision fully paid)
- Regular training and Continuing Education (CE) events.
- Employee discount w/ free routine blood testing for your pets (max 3)
- Paid Time Off
- But most importantlya caring, respectful, cooperative work environment that will ensure good mental health, work/life balance, and allow you to feel proud to be part of our Pack.

We are proud to create a caring, inclusive, and positive hospital that is grounded in mutual respect. This is a dream that we have been cultivating for a few years. If you want to work in a respectful, nurturing environment and treat your patients and clients the same way, then we definitely want to meet you

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Dental insurance
- Employee discount
