Kennel Receptionist

We are currently hiring for a **Kennel Receptionist** at our family owned boarding, grooming and daycare facility located in East Haddam, Connecticut. This position is primarily for the front desk, with the understanding that cross training will be required to assist in the kennel as needed.

**Shift Requirements**:

- Weekend availability.
- Shifts range from 6:00 am-noon and 2:00-7:00pm

**Duties**
- Provide tours.
- Check animals in and out of the facility.
- Answer questions about our facility and services.
- Take reservations in person, on the phone and via text.
- Verify care, feeding and medications instructions as directed by owner.
- Cross trained as needed for kennel attendant work (kennel disinfecting, cleaning, generalized care for the dogs and cats in our care.)

**Requirements**:

- Dog handling skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Outstanding customer service.
- Able to handle dogs of all sizes and assist in bringing them to the kennel area.

**Compensation & Incentives**

Compensation is based on experience.

Personal dog is able to attend daycare while on shift. (Client booking and dog temperament applicable)

We are located at **149 Sheepskin Hollow Road, East Haddam, CT**. Applicants must have reliable transportation.

New Inn Kennels is a family owned kennel in East Haddam, CT. We have a small team of highly trained and dedicated staff that work as a family for the best possible boarding, daycare and grooming experience.

Pay: $15.69 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
