Veterinary Hospital Manager

Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital is the largest animal hospital in Arizona that focuses exclusively on exotic pets. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for both exotic pets and their owners. Our growing hospital offers intern and residency programs for veterinarians and we strive to educate and inspire professionals and clients alike. We are looking for an experienced hospital manager to join our team. The Hospital Manager should exemplify Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital’s core values by emanating compassion and integrity and possessing excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hiring, training, and supervising support staff.
- Creating staff schedules.
- Completing periodic performance reviews.
- Mediating personnel issues.
- Resolving client concerns and ensuring good client service.
- Executing and enforcing hospital policies and protocols.
- Leading monthly hospital meetings.
- Performing weekly bank deposits.
- Coordinating with and submitting ideas and concerns to senior management.
Skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide leadership in order to build a team and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ability to solve problems and exercise sound judgement.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
Qualifications:
Supervisory experience is required and previous management experience is highly preferred. CVT or CVPM or equivalent experience in combination with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
