As a team member of Happy Tails Greenfield, you will be joining a team of hard working people who are extremely committed to the care and the well being of all of our daycare dogs. We are an enrichment based dog day camp with humane caregiver to dog ratios An eagerness to learn about dog behaviors, body language, training, enrichment and group dynamics is a must
- _Professional experience in the pet care industry. Positions such as vet tech, dog walker and dog sitter all qualify as professional experience (just owning your own dog does not qualify)._
- _Have an energetic, positive, easy going attitude and willingness to learn._
- _Leadership traits and the desire to grow within the position a plus._
- _Strong desire to learn about all things dog._
- _Self motivated and comfortable working alone as well as on a team._
- _Ability to adjust to an ever changing environment, ready for anything_
- _Be comfortable with all types of dogs, both large and small, some with challenges meeting new people. _
- _Has experience working hands on with multiple dogs at once. We are looking for someone with prior knowledge of dog body language and behavior. But are willing to hire a highly motivated individual with great instincts._
- _Ability to stay focused and works well in a sometimes over-stimulating environment._
- _Ability to work in a loud environment, dogs do bark sometimes_
- _Excellent time management skills - Reliability and able to show up ready to work and on time._
- _A reliable mode of transportation_

We have recently rolled out an enrichment program for our daycare dogs, so your day will be filled with outdoor time, engaging dogs in mental activities, basic training and food puzzles.

You will be responsible for monitoring groups of dogs, engaging with groups for enrichment activities, cleaning and sanitizing of the facility, and much more. You will learn about dog behaviors such as body language, appropriate play and proper sanitization protocols to keep both the dogs and employees safe. You will also learn the basic building blocks of dog training and enrichment.

You will have the opportunity to bring your dog to work with you

This is a physically demanding job that requires you to be on your feet for 6 - 8 hrs. You must be able to lift 50+lbs, work with both large and small dogs, crouch, kneel, stand for long periods of time, and be able to happily communicate with your fellow team members.

Canine Caregiver, Starts at $15, prior experience taken into consideration as well. Many opportunities for growth and development as you/we grow.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
