Gatehouse Security Officer

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a critical role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism. Duties: - Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environment - Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity - Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances - Provide access control by verifying identification and issuing visitor badges - Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and safety - Conduct thorough inspections of bags, packages, and vehicles as necessary - Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required - Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records Requirements: - Prior experience in security or related field is preferred - Valid security certification or willingness to obtain one (e.g., Security Guard License) - CPR and First Aid certification is a plus - Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques - Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively - Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and legal regulations - Understanding of loss prevention techniques and risk assessment - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision We offer competitive pay rates, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work environment.
