Workday Student Business Analyst

The Workday Student Business Analyst is part of the team implementing Workday Student and works closely with business stakeholders, the technical team, and the implementation partner. This position handles understanding business needs, documenting business processes, creating test scenarios, supporting and participating in testing, identifying and documenting change impacts, and developing reports. This role requires a deep understanding of the business processes in the student lifecycle, excellent analytical skills, and ability in student information systems. Mentoring and leading others in a collaborative and challenging environment is a vital part of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Find and document detailed and clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the implementation partner and technical team to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate and document future state business processes.
- Participates in integrating Workday with other systems including gathering requirements from IT and customers and coordinating vendor interactions.
- Performs Workday configuration, as needed.
- Develop and execute test plans evaluate scenarios and coordinate defect resolution.
- Work with the change enablement team to document change impacts and develop user guides and training materials.
- Manage assigned projects by using project management principles using a hybrid agile approach and best practices.
- Work with IT and customers on finding data quality issues and support validation and reconciliation during data conversion.
- Find delivered reports to support requirements and create custom reports.
- Works with IT and customers to find and resolve risks and issues that could affect project scope and/or time, escalating when proper.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Student information system (SIS) experience needed.
- Expert knowledge of the student lifecycle business processes
- Expert domain experience in one or more of the following:

- Academic Foundation / Student Records
- Advising / Curriculum Management
- Financial Aid
- Student Financials
- Proven experience as a business analyst with superior analytical and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company.
- I have experience with tools like ServiceNow, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Teams, and other project management and collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational, prioritization, time management skills, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $100.00 - $103.00 per hour
