Seasonal Dishwasher

The seasonal dishwasher is responsible for running the dishwashing station in a commercial kitchen during dining hours and assisting the kitchen staff in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. This role requires working weekend evenings/nights for dishwashing in our restaurant operation.

A sample schedule is as follows: Wednesday-Saturday, 5p-close (around 10pm/10:30pm) and occasional Sundays following large events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collecting used kitchenware from dining servers and chefs.
- Loading and unloading commercial dish machine.
- Washing large specific items such as cutting boards, large pots, or delicate china by hand.
- Storing clean dishes, glasses, and kitchen equipment appropriately after being washed.
- Ensuring there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils during peak hours of service.
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock such as detergents, sprays, and scrubbers and communicate with the Chef when re-ordering supplies may be needed.
- Sanitizing various kitchen areas, such as the flooring and storage areas.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and grills.
- Removing garbage regularly and breaking down cardboard boxes.

**Required skills**:

- Previous experience as a dishwasher or custodian is preferred, but willing to train motivated, enthusiastic people.
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks when asked and as needed.
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Dishwashing: 1 year (preferred)
