Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

4 Legs and a Leash, Inc. is a professional, well-established small company based in Darien committed to providing the highest level of pet care. We are seeking an employee who is flexible, has great communication skills, is compassionate and caring, and truly enjoys spending time with animals.

We provide daily dog walks, kitty care, and vacation care.

This is a W-2 position - employee

**Part-Time Position**

Paid weekly - Compensation is per visit and can range from $12-$23 per hour.

**TO BE CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED**:

- **Must **live in or neighboring the service area
- We commute to service areas as needed. The areas include Darien, Hinsdale, Willowbrook, Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Western Springs, Westmont, and Downers Grove.
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a smartphone with texting and internet to access the client portal
- consistently available for work Monday through Friday 10-3 with occasional evenings and several weekends a month
- Must be 21 years of age
- A LOVE of all animals
- Physical ability to walk and manage dogs of various sizes
- Leash skills with walking dogs, especially those needing extra special care if needed
- Walk at least 3-4 miles a day
- Responsible for providing clean water and feeding pets as needed, disposing of pet waste, wiping paws, and treating with love and care
- The flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing schedule/route size
- Great attention to detail and ability to follow specific client instructions
- Love of the outdoors and have a willingness to walk in all weather conditions
- A reliable vehicle
- Good problem-solving skills, a positive attitude
- Outstanding customer service - good communication skills
- Intend to commit a minimum of 1 year to the job

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
