If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our **Transportation Project Manager** opportunity. The position is based in **Austin, TX**.

The Transportation segment includes a wide variety of public sector clients and disciplines including roadway and traffic design. Starting with an existing strong base of clients and projects, the Transportation Project Manager will be expected to maintain and build upon that base to expand the practice.

**Your Role**:

- Ensure projects are executed in a quality manner, consistent with contract requirements, and in accordance with the company’s standards and quality management processes and procedures. Implement corrective action to assure compliance with scope, budget, and schedules.
- Supervise and control project activities and monitor progress and performance both externally with the client and internally with the design team. This may include coordinating with other Tetra Tech offices for the resources needed to complete the scope of work.
- Process monthly invoicing in accordance with firm’s and/or client’s schedule.
- Prepare fee proposals, including scope, budget and schedule for transportation assignments resulting from existing and future project assignments.
- Perform performance reviews, on the job training, and support with career path and growth objectives for assigned staff.
- Lead or assist with the written response to Requests for Qualifications and potentially lead the interview stage if necessary.
- Take a primary role within the transportation group in achieving annual business plan goals for business development and operations metrics such as sales, utilization, revenue, profitability, and invoicing.
- Actively participate in developing the annual business plan for the group.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas; or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- 10+ years of experience in transportation field
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Experience preparing preliminary engineering documents and schematics.
- Proficiency managing budgets and PS&E preparation for transportation projects for various clients and governmental agencies.
- Experience in heading project teams, including subconsultants, in performing transportation design of highways and roadways is required.
- Experience conducting regular project review and oversight of quality control on all assigned projects is required.
