Irrigation Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Install and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system components, including valves, pipes, and sprinkler heads
- Perform regular inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or other issues
- Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions and seasonal changes
- Ensure proper water coverage and distribution for lawns, gardens, and landscapes
- Collaborate with landscapers and gardeners to coordinate irrigation needs with overall landscape maintenance
- Dig trenches and install pipes for new irrigation system installations
- Operate power tools and hand tools to complete irrigation system installations and repairs

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand the workings of irrigation systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools for installation and repair tasks
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices to ensure proper irrigation for plants and lawns
- Ability to accurately measure and calculate water flow rates for efficient irrigation
- Familiarity with different types of sprinkler heads, valves, and pipes used in irrigation systems
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches and lifting heavy equipment

Pay: $20.83 - $25.09 per hour
